Elbek is a specialist in corporate law, construction and energy.
He has experience participating in mergers and acquisitions projects
in various sectors of the economy, financial restructuring, the creation
of joint ventures, the acquisition of large stakes in companies, and insolvency proceedings.

Before joining the team, Elbek worked at Posco Engineering & Construction, Eriell Group, JSC “O’zbekiston temir yo’llari”, and BAT – British American Tobacco Uzbekistan.

Elbek's experience includes advising:

a client on the acquisition of three large companies planning to build hydroelectric power plants (with a combined capacity of over 80 MW) in the Almaty region

one of China's largest state-owned energy companies on the acquisition of renewable energy facilities in Kazakhstan

Fortescue Future Industries on a potential 200 GW green hydrogen production project

a Chinese renewable energy corporation on the acquisition of a 156 MW wind farm project in the North Kazakhstan region

Tetra Tech on improving legislation in the renewable energy sector

Beijing Jingtian & Gongcheng on amendments to the regulation of the balancing energy market

a client on the development of a combined cycle power plant (CCPP) construction project in the Mangistau region

Elbek received his bachelor’s degree in law from the Tashkent State Law Institute.
